2 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse, What Not To Love?

2 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse

Ah…Valentine’s Day, is only 2 days away.

And when you think of Valentine’s day, you think of flowers, chocolates, chocolates and chocolates. If you are planning to impress your loved one with a home cooked meal, this 2 ingredient decadent chocolate mousse will definitely melt your partner’s heart. Chocolate, water and 15 minutes. That’s all you need.

I was skeptical at first but after my trial run, I was completely sold. This is my first ever homemade chocolate mousse and I have had 3 glasses of it this week alone. I’ve never been drawn to making chocolate mousse before because of the amount of eggs and sugar that goes in it. But with this recipe, you get the authenticity of the chocolate and for that, I’ll be making batches and batches of them in the future.

Just remember, because it only uses chocolate, a good quality dark chocolate is imperative.

2 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse

What you’ll need:

270g Dark Chocolate, chopped
1 cup Water
4 Tbs Sugar (Optional)

Here is how:

In a large bowl, fill it with ice & place another bowl on top of it.
Place a small saucepan over low heat, pour in the water and add in the chocolate.
Whisk the mixture until all the chocolate has melted, take it off the heat.
Pour into the chilled bowl, and whisk furiously until mixture thickens, about 10-15 minutes.
Alternatively you may use the electric whisk.
Once the mixture thickens, pour into bowls or glasses, whatever you prefer.
Serve or chill in the fridge.
